Description:

Summary: The main function of a Systems Engineer is to perform a wide variety of installation, configuration and upgrading of servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment, providing investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Complete configuration, installation and support of equipment to the specifications of the business

• Maintain software applications and operating systems through regular maintenance

• Maintain configuration and support documentation

• Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives

• Supervise the administration of systems and servers to ensure availability of services to authorized users

• Maintain multi-site network operations, software applications, operating systems through regular maintenance

• Troubleshoot malfunctions of hardware, software applications and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

• 2-4 years experience required

• Broad knowledge of IT Systems engineering

• Experience with system capacity and planning, as well as functional configuration and audit

• Experience with system planning and capacity tools and analyses

The main roles of a Systems Engineer are to build, maintain, and improve our Microsoft/Windows platforms through automation. The main platforms are AWS, Azure, Power Apps, and On-Premise infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

• Manage, patch, and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools

• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems

• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Qualifications:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments

• Cloud experience, preferably in AWS and Azure

• Experience with virtualization and containerization

• Solid scripting and automation skills (Powershell)

• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)

• Security best practices as related to systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MECM experience would be a plus

Experience automating tasks in the cloud. AWS is preferred, although they have a small Azure presence as well

Other nice to have skills: Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Microsoft Power Platform
