Job Description
This role involves leading 5 to 7 studies in various states from start-up to close-out within the Ophthalmology therapeutic area. The Principal Biostatistician will be client-facing, ensuring effective communication and project management, while supported by statisticians and programmers.
Responsibilities
Lead 5 to 7 Ophthalmology studies from start-up to close-out.
Serve as the primary client contact for multiple studies.
Coordinate and manage support statisticians and programmers.
Ensure all phases of studies (Phases I-III) are conducted efficiently.
Engage in regulatory and cross-functional work.
Provide technical expertise and support as needed, based on bandwidth and client expectations.
Essential Skills
Recent work history in Ophthalmology.
Experience with Phases I-III of clinical studies.
Client-facing capabilities for managing multiple studies.
Regulatory knowledge.
Cross-functional collaboration skills.
At least 7+ years of experience in a relevant role.
Strong time-management skills.
Ability to support regulatory and cross-functional work.
Experience working within a CRO.
Flexibility to engage in hands-on data analysis and quality control when necessary.
Work Environment
100% remote. The role supports the Pharma division of a growing mid-size CRO with distinct business lines in Pharma, Government, and AI Data Analytics
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $100.00/hr.
