Nurse Consultants are a mission critical occupation for HRSA. These positions are critical in supporting Health Resources and Services Administration's nursing care and treatment for outpatient, specialty clinics, urgent care and/or emergency patients. As a Nurse Consultant, you will provide specific focus on advising and consulting in regards to the HIV care and treatment of people living with HIV. Your major duties and responsibilities include: Serve as the primary senior advisor to the Director and Deputy Director and provides clinical knowledge of HIV care and treatment to shape the policy and direction of the Division. Review legislation, develop strategies, approaches for program implementation, and prepares policy related to HIV care and treatment to inform senior leadership. Provide expert consultation, guidance, and technical assistance to local, state, regional and national agencies in the planning, designation and implementation of work, reports and inquiries bearing on the improvement of diversity and development related outcomes of HIV care and treatment. Plan, develop, monitor, implement and evaluate content or projected public health programs to access their success in achieving objectives for the underserved populations. Serve as an expert for Division Project Officers staff on all clinical issues regarding the care and treatment of persons living with HIV.
