BAE Systems Logisitics System Manager in Rockville, Maryland

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee a dynamic group of business analysts and software developers working on a Logistics focused application. The ideal candidate will supervise the US/UK Supply Logistics team, which supports the Department of the Navy s Strategic Systems Program customer. The work is performed at our Rockville, MD location. Responsibilities include understanding the UK Supply system and associated processes, monitoring long term projects, and performing data and systems analysis. Supervisory tasks will include ensuring section employees meet all timekeeping, ethics, training, safety, and performance requirements, as well as hiring, coaching, and evaluating employees on the team.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree and at least six years of related/relevant work experience or a Master's Degree and at least four years of related/relevant work experience.

Additional skills/experience required:

  • Experience managing development and maintenance of software applications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems

  • Experience managing a team environment and tracking tasks to completion

  • Execution of schedules and budgets

  • Knowledge of Oracle databases

  • Knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience supporting Strategic Systems Program (SSP) or Navy Logistics experience

  • Knowledge of software development of a web application

  • Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems

  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript

  • Project Management Professional certification

  • ISO 9001 experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
