Description:

Shop Welder/ Fabrication specialist. Will work through blueprints and doing regular dismantling of vehicles.

Under the direction of the E-TECH Manager, the Test Technician shall provide support for testing efforts. This support includes preparing laboratory crash test vehicles, installation of a variety of engineered products, conducting laboratory and full-scale tests, and collecting test data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Perform testing duties as assigned by E-TECH Manager. Duties include assembly and disassembly of mechanical and/or electrical equipment and assisting with test day duties.

• Prepare the testing site and/or disassembling of test article after testing in a timely and safe manner.

• Operate and maintain testing equipment and tools.

• Offer suggestions for ways to improve current procedures.

• Adhere to established written quality and technical standards and procedures and document work, as required, in written form.

• Assist with test article installation, as assigned.

• Installation and removal of various crash test articles which include both surface mounted and soil mounted systems.

• Ability to recognize installation problems, suggest process improvements, and to communicate these ideas to the E-TECH Manager.
