Health First System Manager - Cybersecurity Engineering (Hybrid Schedule) in Rockledge, Florida

The Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering is a critical member of the IT leadership team accountable for translating Cybersecurity-risk requirements into action courses of action. This role leads the development of the IT organization's security strategy and technical activities to implement and manage security infrastructure and processes in close partnership with the Risk and Information Security teams. The Manager is responsible for managing a diverse team of highly technical engineers as they work to accomplish organizational goals and must, therefore, have proven experience working in a complex and highly matrixed organization. This leadership role requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work with the IT, Risk and operational leadership to align priorities to key business objectives. The incumbent will work closely with business and IT teams to proactively identify and mange IT security risks. Expertise in leading project teams and developing and managing projects is essential for success in this role. In addition to supporting Health Firsts’ policies and strategies, the Manager must be able to prioritize work efforts, balancing operational tasks with longer-term strategic security efforts.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.
- In partnership with Senior IT Leadership, establish annual and long-range security goals, define security strategies, metrics, reporting mechanisms and program services; and create maturity models and a roadmap for continual program improvements.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and administration of technical security standards, as well as security services and tools to address and mitigate security risk.
- Develop proactive security initiatives that contribute to an improved security posture for the organization (e.g., protecting identity theft, mobile social media security, phishing, online reputation program).
- Evaluate, procure, and integrate security solutions into the overall environment, as determined by business, regulatory and market demands and will ensure these technologies and services align with Health First strategic principles and policy guidelines
- Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend or plan the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software, and analyze its impact on the existing environment; provide technical and managerial expertise for the administration of security tools and services.
- Analyzes and provide recommendations on technological solutions based upon organizational needs and objectives.
- Develop a multi-gen roadmap for Information Security practice and manage the overall execution of key deliverables.
- Work with the VP, CTO to develop a security strategy, program and security projects that address identified risks and business security requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Licensure: None Required
- Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) required.
- Work Experience: Minimum of ten years of IT experience with at least three of progressively responsible formal leadership experience (e.g., supervisor, manager, project manager, architect).

- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Working knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or Center for Internet Security (CIS) frameworks. o Ability to perform systemic, thorough problem solving and initiate problem resolution. o Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with operational leaders, IT engineering managers, application directors and IT engineering staff. o Able to lead and manage with data. Sets clear and achievable goals and infuses a data driven culture through the IT Technology teams. o Proficient at collaborating within and across functional departments and customer organizations to achieve desired outcomes and goals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Master’s Degree preferred.
- Licensure: None
- Certification: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP).
- Work Experience: Five years of Experience in healthcare or a similarly complex industry is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Working knowledge of Lean or Agile Software Development. o Experience with cloud security, specifically Microsoft Azure.
