Health First Donor Relations and Communications Coordinator - Health First Foundation, Inc. in Rockledge, Florida

*POSITION SUMMARY *

Develop and implement a comprehensive, best-practice donor acknowledgement and stewardship plan that meaningfully conveys the impact of donor support and increases donor retention. Develop impactful messaging and story arcs for fundraising initiatives, engaging donors at all levels of giving. Manage production of numerous communication projects simultaneously with a focus on both broad and personalized stewardship in support of sustained giving initiatives, including direct mail, grateful patients, Day of Giving, Associate Month of Giving, Celebration of Giving, and Golf Classic. Support fundraising process by creating and proofing general Foundation communications, managing projects, and ensuring Foundation messages are consistent, high quality and inspirational.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES

  1. Collaborate with Foundation staff to develop and implement comprehensive, best-practice donor acknowledgement and stewardship plan that meaningfully conveys impact of donor support and increases donor retention. This includes emails, newsletters, videos, and donor impact reports.
  2. Create impactful customer materials that clearly communicate the impact of giving (solicitation and/or stewardship) and invite response/engagement. Ensure quality, clarity and consistency of Foundation communications. Move prospects/donors to the next phase of giving; inspire readers to take action.
  3. Provide editorial and creative support to team members and apply data analytics to personalize and optimize communications.
  4. Assist with content creation, editing and proofing, and targeted communication strategies, across all channels (direct mail, e-mail, social media, individual proposals/reports). Ensure existing content is routinely updated.
  5. Track communications calendar and adhere to deadlines. Regularly report on progress and communication effectiveness metrics, such as email open and click-through rates. Communicate regularly and proactively in a timely, professional manner regarding status of communications projects.
  6. Proactively identify, engage and interview donors and, when appropriate, physicians and patients to consistently develop and produce inspiring donor cultivation and stewardship pieces – both customized and for broader consumption. Represent Health First in a professional and polite manner when needed (external and internal situations).
  7. Work collaboratively with Foundation staff to provide effective stewardship for sustained giving initiatives, including direct mail, grateful patients, Day of Giving, Associate Month of Giving, Celebration of Giving and Golf Classic. Coordinate mailing of birthday, sympathy, and holiday cards, to donors as appropriate.
  8. Manage production of numerous communication projects simultaneously by working closely and collaboratively with Marketing and Communications to ensure brand adherence.
  9. Coordinate Grateful Patient and Families Program including pin presentations to honored associates and providers across IDN.
    1. Participate in periodic back-up coverages responsibility for Donor Relations care coordination line (24/7).
    2. Log all donor contacts and update donor records as appropriate in Foundation donor database.
    3. Adhere to all Foundation policies and procedures. Actively participate in maintaining and promoting positive team culture within department, and through collaboration with other departments in the IDN.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • *Education: *Associate degree or other post-secondary education in related field; or in lieu of degree will accept 2 years relevant work experience.
  • Work Experience:Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in customer-facing role; including written communications (Copywriting, content creation, proofreading, editing, strategy).

  • *Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: * o Strong persuasive writing, copy editing and proofreading skills; ability to change voice and writing style to fit different audiences, purposes and media. o Highly collaborative with capacity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. o Customer service orientation with high level of adaptability and flexibility. o Communications – oral, written, auditory, public speaking. o Microsoft Office products and software related to function. o Project Management. o Ingrained curiosity.

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS *

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Work Experience: Prior fundraising, communications and donor relations experience.
  • Licensure: None required.
  • Certification: None required.
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: o Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM. o Donor portfolio management. o Grateful Patient program.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping.
  • Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
  • Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
  • May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote.
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
