Job Title: Test Engineer / Technician

Job Description

Support an existing team with product level testing, component and system instrumentation, safe operation, and execution of tests with an ongoing product development team. Responsible for testing 3-phase high voltage systems and performing variable frequency drive set up and testing during the design process. Additional duties include test equipment set up and modifications, preparation of test reports on project assignments, and troubleshooting and maintaining lab equipment, including evaluation and recommendations for the purchase and/or assembly of new laboratory equipment and test fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Support product level testing and system instrumentation.

• Ensure safe operation and execution of tests with the product development team.

• Test 3-phase high voltage systems.

• Set up and test variable frequency drives during the design process.

• Set up and modify test equipment as needed.

• Prepare test reports on project assignments.

• Troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment.

• Evaluate and recommend the purchase and/or assembly of new laboratory equipment and test fixtures.

Essential Skills

• Experience in product testing, mechanical, and electrical fields.

• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Proficiency with oscilloscopes.

• Mechanical inclination.

• 2+ years of testing experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• AS or BS in Electronics or Engineering is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
