The Director Procurement-Procure to Deliver Global Process Owner (GPO) will play a critical role in the Business Process Optimization. This position is a direct report to the Global Head of Procurement and a critical strategic lead for P2P / P2D process optimization. This role is will work closely with Corporate and Business stakeholders to establish global standards in Procurement while driving automation through technology and establishing critical controls. This role is responsible to be a global thought leader regarding process excellence and service delivery to ensure process performance meets and exceeds service levels, and also develop a roadmap for the tools and technology to support strategic and operational procurement.

Essential Duties

  • The procure to deliver process in a medical CDMO business involves procuring goods and services and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • The goal of the procure to deliver process is to ensure timely and efficient procurement of goods and services, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Subject Matter Expert within team for strategic and operational Procurement processes, and strategic lead for deployment and implementation of P2P / P2D tools, technology, and process improvements to increase Procurement functional effectiveness and efficiency.

  • GPO will be responsible to work within process to drive standard process improvements and utilization out of the ERP

  • Accountable for the successful design and implementation of technology and leading practice Procure to Deliver processes that ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance to controls

  • Responsible to roll out new processes with technology improvements across global sites

  • Work with Finance (AP, Treasury), Business Unit Operations, and IT to make sure end to end processes are linked and efficient

  • Actively seeks opportunities to innovate and source best practices

  • GPO will establish metrics to monitor process health and drive continuous improvements

  • Ensure linkage of global process and controls

  • Be the bridge between business requirements and IT requirements for any system change request, while keeping compliance to global standards

  • Works with change management to ensure proper adoption to changes

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts and Functional Leads to make sure system testing is robust and training needs are met

  • Develop centralized processing capabilities in the organization

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 7-10 years related experience and/or training.

  • College Level Mathematical Skills

  • Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.

  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.

  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.

  • Ability to Travel

  • Strong system a skills

  • Must be able to communicate complex ideas in simple and compelling ways

  • Experience and demonstrated ability to drive process improvements

Preferred:

  • Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Ability to show success in managing employees.

  • Ability to exhibit sound and accurage judgment.

  • Experience in procurement or supply chain related roles highly desired, with understanding of key functional activities across Indirect and Direct material procurement

  • Experience launching Procure to Pay platforms (Coupa, Ariba, GEP, etc.) and operating as subject matter expert in spend analytics, vendor catalogues, and guided buying tools and processes STRONGLY DESIRED!
