The Opportunity:
CACI's Mastodon Design is looking to hire a Systems Engineer in Rochester, NY. This organization specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We focus on offering devices that can be fielded immediately to meet the mission needs that lie directly ahead. Size, weight, power, and packaging are of paramount importance in everything we design and build. Our expertise allows us to rapidly provide these solutions in specialized electronic/mechanical design, embedded & application-level software, reverse engineering & protocol analysis, and RF signals exploitation and communications systems. We are currently seeking a systems engineer to join our systems engineering department. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of system development experience. Focus on RF, Computer, and Electro-mechanical systems
Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively across the engineering organization to track and manage system requirements for end systems
Analyze system requirements from end systems and users
Develop test plans and procedures
Conduct tests and document results
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations / use cases for Mastodon equipment
Provide technical support for application notes
Conduct vehicle site surveys and associated vehicle integration designs for Mastodon equipment
Procure and validate 3rd party OEM products
Develop and write software install procedures for laptops, including Mastodon and 3rd party software
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and a minim of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of skills, education and experience
Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering team
Experience working with Product Line Management to add 3rd party OEM products to accessory catalog
Experience in technical writing
Experience installing software on Windows and Linux machines
Experience interacting with customers, development teams, and program managers
There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment you will be required to obtain Secret clearance.
Experience with Microsoft Office including Visio

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$74,600-$156,700
