Job Description:
Senior professional with strong knowledge of quality principles and broad knowledge of project management. Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight. Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes. Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
Essential Functions:
Assures Focus Factory compliance to L3Harris procedures, specifications and ISO standards.
Enforces the use of data and understanding of risks to drive decisions to protect the customer
Performs data analysis including production yield, process and test capability.
Drives team to develop and execute meaningful actions to improve performance.
Uses data to drive mistake-proofing and focuses on quality at the source.
Leads cross-functional teams utilizing formal root cause tools to investigate and solve internal/ customer quality problems by identifying the root cause and implementing corrective actions (CAPA).
Ensures change control discipline including documentation, verification and validation.
Uses the L3Harris e3 (excellence, everywhere, everyday) continuous improvement process to drive proactive process improvements to improve quality and reduce waste
Qualifications:
Requires strong knowledge of job area. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Six Sigma Belt Certification a plus
Minitab skills a plus
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Experience using root cause investigation tools (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Kepner Tregoe)
