Job Description:

This Systems Engineer will participate in, and possibly lead portions of, the technical concept and architectural design development activities for L3Harris Tactical Communication (TCOM) products, informed by interaction with both internal and external customers. The candidate will provide technical support to Business Development teams and Product Development teams to define the system design through modeling, use case analysis and well-formed system and product level requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with Business Development teams, Engineering Project teams and Engineering Discipline Team leads to ensure consistent strategy, direction, and alignment with the Segment Strategic Growth Plan (SGP).

  • Participate with team members to drive requirements for new product designs, relying on team members from other specific disciplines as required.

  • Assist with proposals by working technical baseline definition and reviews for new product effort estimations.

  • Work collaboratively across the engineering organization to focus on the Requirements Management, Technical Baseline Creation, Review and Approval, and aspects of System Engineering process compliance including, but not limited to, process artifact review and approval, leading solution design reviews, and Risk Management/Analysis.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active US Secret clearance.

  • Experience with DOORS requirements management software.

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or similar UML based modeling technologies.

  • Experience with system verification.

  • Experience working within a large multidisciplinary engineering team

  • Experience assessing and reporting technical project status, risks and issues.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $74,000 - $138,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
