Job Description:

We are looking for a detail oriented, customer focused, and high performing quality engineer to join our growing team. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operate independently, and be well-versed in the use of root-cause and corrective action methods and tools. Ideal candidates would have spent a couple of years in a manufacturing environment and have a willingness to get their hands dirty (so-to-speak) to resolve opportunities as they arise.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems

  • Manage critical KPI’s in support of focus factory objectives

  • Yield, Defective Parts/Million (DPPM), Cost of Poor Qualty (COPQ)

  • Maintain a customer-focused mindest

  • Work cross-functionlly to support departmental goals

  • Utilize acquired skills, knowledge, and training to reduce customer escapes, improve product quality, and/or improve product yields

  • Perform role with general supervision

  • Travel is not required (<10%), work is on-site (not remote)

  • No security clearance required

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Minitab/JMP or other statistical software experience

  • SQL programming language

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Knowledge of ISO9001

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, primarily Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of statistical principals and applications for manufacturing

  • Self-driven and a strong work ethic

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $67,000 - $125,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
