Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Integration and Test Engineering who will be reporting to the Director of Engineering, SATCOM. This position offers candidates an opportunity to join a fantastic team of engineering professionals who take a collaborative and team focused approach to developing and solving complex system solutions for our end customers in support of mission critical needs. This individual will partner within and outside the engineering organization to influence changes to best practices, processes, policies, and engineering approaches which shall impact the overall achievements and success of engineering and the SATCOM business segment.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform hands on SATCOM product line manufacturing and system level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Radio Frequency (RF) system and component level testing.

  • Provide general oversight towards annual SATCOM integration and test product goals and objectives.

  • Provide customer support of technical issues on fielded systems and units.

  • Work in collaboration within large cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, electrical, test engineering, etc.) to achieve product line integration and test objectives.

  • Areas of focus would include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Development and release of system level test procedures and reports.

  • Assist with the development and release of First Article Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedures.

  • Assist with the development and release of service bulletins in support of fielded SATCOM products.

  • Ability to interact, evaluate, and respond to customer needs.

  • Research, learn, and implement new areas of knowledge and tools in such areas as mechanical, electrical, software, and RF engineering.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with SATCOM VSAT and Man Portable (Manpack) Terminals.

  • Knowledge of and experience working with SATCOM systems, both End-to-End and single terminal side, RF networking and systems, wired networking, MIL-STD data links, and modems. Common modem types with preferred experience are iDirect, Comtech, Linkabit MPMs, and Viasat.

  • Familiarity and ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, etc.

  • Experience and familiarity with working directly with customers and vendors.

  • Experience with bill of materials (BOM) development and structuring.

  • Experience with and the ability to perform hands on SATCOM system level troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Experience and familiarity with LabVIEW and/or TestStand.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $70,500- $131,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
