$190,000 - $210,000

Description

The Divisions of Pediatric Critical Care and General Pediatrics are collaborating to recruit a Senior Instructor.

The General Pediatrics/Child Abuse component of this position is part of the REACH program (Referral and Evaluation service for Abused Children) of UR Medicine's Golisano Children's Hospital, which provides medical services and psychosocial evaluations for children who may be victims of sexual or physical abuse. The REACH program acts in partnership with the Bivona Child Advocacy Center and other community agencies such as local police departments, Monroe County Child Protective Services, Catholic Family Center, RESTORE Sexual Assault Services, Rochester Regional Health, Monroe County District Attorney's Office, Monroe County Law Department (Children's Services Unit), Villa of Hope and Monroe County Office of Probation. The Sr Instructor will share on call responsibilities, see patients in outpatient clinics, and provide expert court testimony as needed.

Qualifications

· Successful candidates will have shown outstanding pediatric critical care accomplishment and promise, and commitment to the mission of Golisano Children’s Hospital.

New York State license and DEA certification required prior to granting of privileges at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.

Board Certified in General Pediatrics, Board Certified or board eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics

Fellowship completion in Pediatric Critical Care with board eligible/certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine required for PICU faculty.

Fellowship completion in Pediatric Cardiology with additional CICU training and Pediatric Cardiology board eligibility/certification will be considered for CICU faulty.

Special skills required: procedural skills as pertains to standard duties of pediatric intensivist.

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
