TEKsystems Security Technician in Rochester, New York

Description:

Our client has an immediate position available for a Security/Fire Alarm technician to join our branch operations in our Henrietta, (Rochester), NY office.

Candidate duties will include installing, servicing and inspecting Security, Access control, IP Video and Fire Systems. Technicians will service, maintain, install and test these systems working both independently, and as part of a team. Candidate will work primarily on commercial accounts and will also be part of our on-call rotation. Experience in Lenel access control, Bosch Security or FCI fire alarm panels is a plus.

Ability to work with hand tools and power tools

Must be able to lift up to 30lbs of weight, carry tools, ladders

Must be comfortable working on ladders

Effective Troubleshooting skills

Effective communication skills

Experience in installing and servicing Security Alarm systems, including CCTV, Access control, Fire alarm

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and understanding schematics for system design and installation

Knowledge of low voltage systems and computer hardware related to security systems

Familiarity with alarm system sales and service technician experience

Ability to work with computer networking and read blueprints for system installations

Company vehicle for transportation to and from jobsites or office will be provided
