School Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Rochester, NY - 14620

Employment Type: Direct-Hire, Permanent

Setting: School

Pay: $30-$33.66+/hr

Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30am/8:15am, 35-40 hours/week

Qualifications:

• NY State RN License

• 6+ months RN experience

• BLS

• Passion for working with developmental disabilities patients or psych experience or fast-paced setting such as ER, Triage, or Critical Care

Key Duties:

• Maintain accurate health information for students, including medication orders and allergy notifications.

• Administer prescribed medications and perform daily health assessments, assisting the LPN as needed.

• Provide care for student injuries, record incidents, and instruct staff on health and safety procedures.

• Ensure the medical cabinet is stocked and administer vaccines.

• Monitor overall health and safety standards within the school.
