The Opportunity:
Mastodon Design, located in Rochester, NY, a CACI Company, is currently seeking an experienced Sales and Operations Business Planning lead.
This position reports to the General Manager and supports a local team specializing in engineering design and onsite manufacturing of tactical radio systems.
The Sales and Operations Business Planner will leverage a background working across engineering and production teams to drive long term decision making for the site.
Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of experience with a focus on forecast driven, lifecycle planning for a commercial catalog of products.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and communicate the site product sales forecast and bookings
• Estimating forward looking revenue projections against open orders, delivery schedules, and sales forecasts
• Support customer requests for quotes and information related to sales orders
• Collect, analyze, and communicate market trends in support of multi-year product investment and lifecycle planning
• Manage customer open orders, scheduling and communicating deliveries
• Provide manufacturing team with latest front-end details in support of build schedules
• Help supply chain and engineering identify future inventory concerns and provide solutions
• Working with supply chain to manage finished good inventory levels to meet customer delivery expectations
• Prepare forecasting reports for revenue and sales bookings using data collected across all areas of business, from frontend to operations)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, or strategic operations
• Direct experience in commercial product manufacturing and sales
• Understanding of supply chain and manufacturing fundamentals
• Experience with customer sales quotes and purchase orders
• Ability to work and communicate with multiple teams, including sales, operatons, and supply chain
• Experience prioritizing support across many activities at any given time to ensure best outcome for internal and external customers
• Ability to effectively communicate to senior leadership on status and recommendations
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Desired
: Prior experience and familiarity working with US Department of Defense and federal agencies
• Experience with government procurement and contracting processes, including FAR, DFARS
• Direct experience with customer and manufacturing management tools, ERP, PLM, and CRM systems

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$74,600-$156,700
