Salary Range or Pay Grade

$50,000 thru $110,000

Description

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center has an opening for a Research Assistant Professor to lead and contribute to various research projects and publications within the ACTTION public-private partnership with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The mission of ACTTION is to identify, prioritize, coordinate, and sponsor innovative activities that will expedite the identification and development of efficacious and safe analgesic, addiction, and anesthetic therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the ACTTION leadership and external collaborators to design research projects -- including clinical trials -- and recruit participants, collect and analyze data, and publish study results. Responsibilities will also include collaboration on the preparation and publication of systematic and narrative reviews, meta-analyses, secondary data analyses, and various qualitative and quantitative studies.

Qualifications

Individuals with a doctoral degree in medicine, epidemiology, public health, psychology, or a related discipline are encouraged to apply. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must also have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, supervise research collaborators, and manage study- and individual-level databases.

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process
