$55,000 - $85,000

Description

The Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience and Department of Neuroscience at the University of Rochester is seeking applications for a Research Assistant Professor. As part of our university-wide expansion in Neuroscience, we are looking for outstanding individuals who specialize in conduct and publish high-quality research based on invivo imaging studies of microglia and neural functions. This will include working on the design and implementation of experiments, the collection and analysis of two-photon imaging data, and the preparation of manuscripts for publication. It also includes the expectation of traveling to national and international conferences to present the results of this research. As part of the position, it is also expected that you will continue to contribute to the mentorship and training of more junior researchers, including postdoctoral researchers as well as graduate and undergraduate students.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Neuroscience or a related field.

  • Proven ability to design and execute research projects independently.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

The reference pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience, and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position's salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
