$60,000 - $76,160 a year

Description

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a clinician-scientist, to assist with multiple research studies at our new outpatient clinical for people at high risk for development of a psychotic disorder ("INTERCEPT"). The INTERCEPT program is housed within our existing Office of Mental Health certified Strong Ties clinic on West Henrietta Rd, an off-site of Strong Memorial Hospital. This person will conduct screening assessments using the Structured Clinical Interview for Psychosis Risk Syndromes (SIPS) and administer a range of assessment instruments related to cognition, symptoms, and psychological characteristics. They will also conduct interventions related to IRB-approved clinical research protocols, and analyze new and existing data with the goal of writing up scientific papers for publication. This is a grant-funded research position. Applicant should have a strong aptitude for research and be progressing toward clinical work.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have completed a doctoral degree training program in Psychology and a minimum 1 year internship in a research field (preferably psychosis). Applicants must also be pursuing licensure as a psychologist in New York State.
