Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a Research Assistant Professor to join the Pain and Preceptions Lab. The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree (MD or PhD) with a background in computational neuroscience. Responsibilities include developing and applying pipelines for testing, preprocessing and analyzing brain data quality; advancing computational techniques to analyze large datasets from brain scans and psychological surveys; and focusing on the development of reproducible, brain-based biomarkers for chronic pain. Additionally, the candidate is expected to initiate and lead studies as the principal investigator (PI) and apply for grants in the role of PI.

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined with the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
