CACI has an immediate need for an experienced Quality Manager to join our Mastodon team in Rochester, NY.

The Opportunity:

  • Provide leadership for the quality engineering and inspection functions, supporting all Mastodon company practices, including quality planning, compliance monitoring and validation for programs, hardware, and inspection.

  • Promote a culture of quality focused on employee engagement and enhancing the customer experience through meticulous attention to detail and prevention of defects.

  • Supervise a staff of QA/QC personnel while interfacing and contributing to multiple functions and projects.

  • A unique opportunity to work across an organization tactically and strategically, managing a wide range of quality topics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the quality team focused on tactical response to daily operational issues.

  • Manage the process of analyzing customer concerns, internal scrap, and other forms of waste related to the cost of poor quality.

  • Collaborate with supply chain to ensure quality requirements are met by vendors.

  • Oversee quality containment activities on raw material, subassemblies or finished goods as required to ensure root cause analysis is completed and corrective action plans are clearly identified and executed effectively/efficiently.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) with quality assurance procedures compliant to AS9100/ISO-9001.

  • Additional responsibilities include vendor assessments, material RMA processing of non-conforming material, driving root cause analysis and corrective action for both internally and externally detected nonconformances, partnering with internal engineering and vendors to identify critical process controls and implement any required changes.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Quality or equivalent.

  • 7 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control

  • Proven ability to develop and implement a Quality Management System to AS9100/ISO-9001. (Internal auditor or lead auditor experience a plus.)

  • Proficient in data collection, analysis, metrics generation and reporting.

  • Experience with electronics and mechanical manufacturing to include IPC standards, counterfeit parts, inspection processes (electrical and mechanical), mechanical fabrication processes and finishes.

  • Proven ability to be a self-starting leader, demonstrated ability to work across multiple organizations within a company.

Desired:

  • ASQ CMQ/OE certification

  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt

  • 5S Practitioner

  • Product Quality and Supplier Quality Engineering Experience

  • Familiarity with cables, interconnects, and antennas

  • Master’s degree in relevant discipline

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to communicate efficiently at various levels

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$74,600-$156,700
