Description
General Description
Effectively deliver language interpreting and document translation solutions for both internal Catholic Charities customers and external customers, accomplished through a staff of internal CCFCS per diem interpreters, and contracts with local and national providers. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and is responsible for ensuring a trauma informed care environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responds to the Language Access needs of the Agency with language interpreting and document translation solutions
Manages and supports the activities of the LS Program Coordinator
Hires, trains, monitors, and manages a team of at least twenty remote per diem language interpreters
Establishes, monitors, and maintains the services of 3 rd party partners for language interpreting and document translation, including coordination with Purchasing, Information Technology, Accounting and Compliance
Develops, documents, and maintains business processes
Maintains multiple data tables for the scheduling portal
Monitors and analyzes interpreting appointments for accuracy and trends including: appointment types, bill rates, interpreter time submissions
Develops, implements, and maintains effective Customer marketing, training, and communications
Coordinates with Agency Compliance and Legal teams to maintain the Service Agreements with customers
Develops and monitors the annual budget
Implements and monitors a secure petty cash process
Submits biweekly payroll and monthly invoicing
Reviews and approves interpreter travel expenses
Monitors the Accounts Receivable aging file and provides support to accounting
Monitors industry trends and seeks out product and process improvements
Develops and maintains the Agency’s Language Access Plan (LAP)
Represents Catholic Charities on the Monroe County Language Access Coalition (MCLAC)
Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings
Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops
Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse

Qualifications
Qualifications
Education: Associate degree required; BA preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. **
Credentials: Interpreter/Medical Interpreter Certificate/Training preferred
Experience: At least 3 year(s) of interpreting experience and business management preferred
Experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
