Essential Responsibilities

  • Works with Production Management to set shop floor priorities into place and makes sure they are executed upon in a proper expiditious manner.

  • Verifies that equipment in build and test meets established standards and/or customer order requirements

  • Inspects defined procedures for build or test of all product assemblies, and works with Test Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering on product or process improvements

  • Provides assistance getting material to cover customer order shortages via the Planning Group

  • Responsible for maintaining the Work In Progress (WYP)

  • Recognizes and communicates to Manager any build or test difficulties and/or product faults in a clear, concise and timely manner

  • Gathers and distributes data regarding product yields and defects to proper resources for quick response

  • Teaches junior employees to develop their skill set for advancement in their skills.

  • Provides back up for Production Manager function when required.

  • Any other task assigned by Production Lead

  • Managing, Coordinating, supervising and training employees in your area.

  • Providing clear instructions to group members and promptly answering any questions or concerns.

  • Planning daily priorities and delegating tasks.

  • Clearly outlining goals and ensuring group members understand what is expected of them.

  • Training new group members.

  • Ensuring EHS and PPE rules are always followed.

  • Making recommendations for improvement of Quality, efficiency and safety.

  • Uphold the values and standards of the organization and setting a good example.

  • Calmly dealing with problems that come up during the day to day production schedule.

  • Clearly informing manager of any issues that occur during the day.

  • Be able to fill in in all jobs in your area when necessary

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma / GED

  • Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Electro mechanical experience

  • Good judgement

  • Written and Verbal Communications skills

  • Must be dependable, flexible, versitile and conscientious

  • MS Office (Excel, word, Outlook)

  • Must be able to understand all processes for all shop documentation

  • Must be able to use shop floor MRP system, Oracle/SAP preferred

  • Evidence of good leadership skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Great organization skills

  • Working knowledge of all jobs in the area

  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Ability to stand, Sit and walk for prolonged periods of time

  • Ability to work overtime

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted

The pay range for this position is $30/hr-$34/hr. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This posting is expected to close on [9/23/24].
