Orolia Government Systems Product Line Manager in Rochester, New York

Our Technology:Safran Federal Systems provides Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations and their contractors. Safran Federal Systems is authorized to work on the full spectrum of U.S. Government classified and unclassified projects, in addition to supporting strategic partnerships for key defense PNT technologies. The Opportunity:The Product Line Manager is responsible for executing the strategic direction, development, and management of products within Safran Federal Systems. This role involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure product offerings meet market demands and align with organizational objectives.Job Responsibilities:Product Strategy Development: Execute the product line strategies that support overall business goals and address market needs within the industry. Define the product roadmap, and leverage platform opportunities to align with market trends.Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to development to launch and post-launch evaluation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Specify market requirements for current and future products as needed.Market Research and Analysis: Conduct throughout market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape using insights to inform product development and positioning. Deliver Marketing Documentations (MRD’s) and Product Requirements (PRD’s) with prioritized features and corresponding justification.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with engineering, sales, marketing and operations to ensure a successful product launches and ongoing product support.Financial Management: Monitor product line performance including budget management, forecasting and profitability analysis to ensure financial targets are achieved.Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns and address product offerings.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, and engineers, fostering collaborative environment conducive for innovation and continuous improvement. Brief and train the sales force as needed, while coordinating marketing policies and programs as needed.What you bring to Safran Federal Systems:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or equivalent military service is required. Master’s degree in related field is preferred.A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards.Proven track record of successful product development and life cycle management.Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsDeep industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics.Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and technology trends.Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to remain poised under all circumstances, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust. Excellent writing skills with the ability to generate large documents on short timelines. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time The role demands a deep understanding of GNSS and Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (A-PNT) technologies.U.S. citizenship is required.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
