Eastman Kodak Company Operations Supervisor in Rochester, New York

Role Overview

Kodak is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the Finishing team in Kodak's Advanced Materials and Chemicals Division in Rochester, NY. In this position you will work in a great environment with a bright future. As an Operations Supervisor you will work directly with various operational employees and interact with the maintenance team, quality team, and other members of Finishing's management team. In this position you will work independently and on teams as needed to address production and quality related concerns.

Supervisors Responsibilities to include:
* Overseeing the day-to-day activities for a department's work groups operating on a 24/7 schedule
* Coordinating activities with maintenance, engineering, and quality personnel as needed
* Responsible for employee development and ensuring personnel are adequately trained
* Tracking and monitoring employee schedules/attendance, including absences and vacations
* Inputting and approving employee information in the payroll system
* Actively participating in safety reviews and area audits
* Participate in Division/Department Management Review meetings as needed
* Communicate Quality and Customer Satisfaction information to employees
* Reviewing the quality system for effectiveness and taking appropriate action as required.
* This is primarily a day-shift position but must have the ability to work an alternate schedule if necessary

Qualified Candidates must have the following Skills/Experience:
* Experience formally leading employees in a manufacturing environment
* Must have a strong work ethic and the ability to motivate others
* Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* The ability to work effectively with both individuals and on teams
* The ability to prioritize work based on schedules and demands
* Knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Access, and other MS Office Software
* Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment

Desired Skills & Experience:
* Some knowledge of ISO9001, Document Management, and Document Writing
* Some knowledge of film manufacturing, film use, and testing/examination a plus
* Experience with maintenance personnel/activities in a manufacturing environment a plus
* A college degree is a plus but not required

Minimum Experience Level: 2 years' leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum Education Level: High School graduate
