University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry invites applications for a board certified psychiatrist, interested in developing a career in a vibrant academic medical center. We are recruiting for our Geriatric Outpatient clinics and in seach of a psychiatrist with specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, which may occur, in older adults. These disorders may include, but are not limited to: dementia, depression, anxiety, late life addiction disorders, and schizophrenia.

This full-time position at the University of Rochester Medical Center includes both an academic faculty appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at a rank commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and a medical staff appointment at Strong Memorial Hospital. The position additionally includes ample opportunities for faculty development within a robust tradition of mentorship. Teaching and supervision of psychiatric residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees is an integral part of this position, along with clinical leadership in process improvement, program development, and strategic planning. With over 30,000 visits per year, we are a significant provider of outpatient services for adults in our diverse and vibrant community in Western New York. Our program includes a collaborative work environment of an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, RN's, social workers, family therapists, and licensed mental health professionals. We have a robust program incorporating telepsychiatry with nursing home consultation and utilizing Project ECHO to work with skilled nursing facilities and state psychiatric centers.

In addition to ambulatory services, our department provides a spectrum of services ranging from psychiatric emergency services, inpatient care, partial hospitalization, chemical dependency treatment, care management, and primary care. Qualifications

Board certified psychiatrist with specialized training in Geriatric Psychiatry.

Must be licensed in New York state.

Individual salaries will be determined with the job's salary range and established bason on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individiual, and with consideration to related position salaries.
