Job Description:

Highland Hospital is seeking a full time Senior Social worker. Hours would be Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm.

With considerable independence, the Senior Social Worker will provide social work services to patients and their families on the assigned unit. Senior social worker will also assist with other unit coverage depending on current need. These units are both medical and surgical and serve all adult populations. Primary foci will be on patient flow (efficient discharge following assessment of patient needs and care planning) and Supervision of Social Work staff.

Salary Range:

$33.33- $40.62 an hour

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:

1. Education: Meets the educational requirements to be a licensed Social Worker in NYS

2. Experience: Experience in health care is preferred with knowledge of community resources.

3. License/Certification Required: New York State Licensed Social Worker.

4. Skills: Risk screening, assessment, social work interventional skills, care planning, critical thinking, and supervision.
