HCR Home Care Human Resources Coordinator (Entry Level) Fulltime In Office in Rochester, New York

Role and Responsibilities

Coordinates activities related to Human Resources administrative and project management support as well as some Talent Acquisition support .

Essential Functions

Human Resources (Primary):

  • Assist with scanning employee files into electronic records system.

  • Responsible for running and distributing monthly vehicle maintenance report.

  • Acts as the primary contact for COVID tracking and follow-up.

  • Data entry of new employee information into HRIS in alignment with targeted start dates.

  • Assists with employee status changes for transfers, promos, and terminations.

  • Coordinates additional onboarding tasks for arrival of new employees.

  • Is the primary point of contact for new hire orientation for Human Resources.

  • Assists with Home Health Aide graduation ceremony needs (orders cake, flowers, and anything else that is required).

  • Act as back-up support in other areas when needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by Director or Senior Director of HR.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Will review new employee files to ensure they will meet audit requirements.

  • May be asked to assist in collecting, reviewing and tracking new employee on-boarding documentation. May also be asked to assist with following up with new employees regarding pending/incomplete onboarding tasks.

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Will consider relevant and documented experience in lieu of degree.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Computer Skills: HRIS: ADP WorkforceNow or NextGen experience preferred. MS Office (Word, Excel) required. Experience with MS Teams preferred.

  • Must be passionate about details; ability to multi-task and work with deadlines.

  • Works well independently but also functions well on a collaborative team

  • Able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational skills of stooping, kneeling, walking, lifting, grasping, pulling and standing.

  • Must be able to lift / move up to 25 lbs.

  • The employee must be able to hear within normal range with corrected hearing in a minimum of one ear, and have corrected vision of 20/40 bilaterally.

  • Must be able to sustain prolonged periods in seated position.

  • Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
