FIFCO USA Expeditor / Food Runner in Rochester, New York

BREW HOUSE HOURS OF OPERATION

Sunday - Thursday | 11am-10pm

Friday & Saturday | 11am-11pm

Evening/ Weekend Availability is a MUST

As a Food Runner/Expeditor , you'll set the pace and flow of pick-up in the kitchen, ensure that orders only leave once complete, execute quality control inspections and build relationships to ensure smooth timing with the hold and cold lines. You'll communicate with both Front of House and Back of House staff. You'll handle food according to applicable health codes and hygiene regulations. You'll stock your station and complete all delegated side work. You'll interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner. You'll have complete knowledge of the Brew House's food and beverage preparation.

Candidates should be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains proper food handling and safety procedures for all products used

  • Checks receipts and assembles the order for the guest

  • Coordinates selling of single out tickets from the station

  • Ensures that the food presentation is fresh and up to quality standards

  • Perform opening/closing and on shift side work and maintenance properly

  • Maintain working area safe and clean; sweep/mop as needed

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Brew House Manager

  • Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18+ years of age

  • Previous restaurant experience; understanding of full service environment

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift occasionally, and work in a kitchen environment

  • Speaking-Effectively convey information to others

  • Reading comprehension- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in related documents. Must be able to read recipes, instructions and chemical labels

  • Ability to take direction

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure

  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized

  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
