•Research, design, and develop computer software systems to aid in innovating and improving company’s advanced automation assembly equipment. •Access company’s advanced automation machines and equipment labs to develop software algorithms to improve existing features and develop new solutions.•Design and code software subsystem for automated equipment.•Integrate new hardware, software protocols, and engineering tools.•Provide innovation to solve complex system issues.•Creative problems-solving and electronic diagnostic/troubleshooting abilities.•Develop firmware for embedded systems.•Provide task coordination for axes and IO.•Work with GIT and JIRA to collaborate with team members on project tasks.•Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Q&R on product performance requirements, design, test, and development activities.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, plus three (3) years of experience in systems software.Require three (3) years of experience in each of the following area:•Design and implement embedded firmware.•8bit, 16bit, and 32bit bare-metal microcontrollers to design software systems and solutions.•System control panel and modules functional design and development.•Test and debug with in-circuit emulators.•Manufactory test fixture development.•Robust and reusable products through software design.•Able to receive and interpret customers’ changes and enhancements for product performance requirements.Job Location: 100 Paragon Dr, Rochester, NY 14624
