Description We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in Rochester, New York. This role serves as a crucial link between our technicians and customers within the Service industry. The primary function of the role is to efficiently coordinate and schedule service calls and maintenance appointments, ensuring optimal customer service and effective communication. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently schedule HVAC service calls and maintenance appointments based on customer preferences and technician availability.

• Assign technicians to specific jobs considering their skills, expertise, and location.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and accurate information about appointments and service procedures.

• Optimize technician routes to ensure maximum productivity and minimize travel time.

• Handle emergency service calls, prioritizing urgent requests and ensuring prompt and effective response.

• Provide basic technical support to customers over the phone or via email.

• Maintain accurate records of service calls, appointments, and technician schedules using Sage Software.

• Communicate job details to technicians, including customer information, service requirements, and any special instructions.

• Address any customer concerns or questions about their appointments and keep them informed of any changes.

• Document service details and record customer interactions for future reference and reporting purposes. Requirements • Proven experience in a dispatch role or similar position

• Strong knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations

• Proficient in relevant computer applications, particularly Sage Software

• Excellent ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
