Description

The health services that became theAnthony L Jordan Health Corporation (http://www.jordanhealth.org/) (Jordan Health) began more than 100 years ago, in 1904. As one of the first 5 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) established in the nation, its roots are steeped in service to those who face barriers to health and health care, meeting their need for comprehensive medical, dentistry, behavioral health, and community services. Starting in northeast Rochester, NY, Jordan Health has since expanded to become a network of primary care offices and health centers serving residents living in three quadrants ofRochester, NY (http://www.city-data.com/city/Rochester-New-York.html) and in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Jordan Health is now seeking aDirector of Nursingwho, under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient and effective governance of the practice of nursing in Jordan Health management of Practice Managers.

Requirements

TheDirector of Nursingwill ensure that:

· A Patient-Centered environment is created and supporting Jordan’s Strategic Goals.

· Jordan Health maintains proper ratios of nursing staff, including medical assistants, with necessary attributes to support all Jordan patients with excellent care.

· Jordan is compliant with all regulatory requirements.

· Jordan Health has a career ladder with clear pathway to growth and increased responsibilities in the nursing field.

· Collaboration with Internal departments is maximized to support Jordan’s strategic goals.

· Relationships developed and maintained to ensure Jordan Health remains competitive, financially sound, and publicly respected.

Education Required:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in healthcare (Nursing preferred)

· Master’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred.

· 5+ years’ leadership/supervisory experience managing teams of individuals towards success.

· In lieu of master's degree, 10+ years’ or more of professional healthcare experience, including leadership/ supervisory required.

Licenses and Certifications:

· Valid RN license with no negative actions

· Valid CPR (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.

· Infection Control certificate required.

Special Skills, Knowledge Required:

· Demonstrate skills in speaking, writing, administration, program development, management, and supervision.

· Demonstrate skills in project management desired.

· Must possess interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of professionals and organizations.

· Excellent computer skills, fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

· Familiarity with Electronic Health Records required.

Jordan Health is an independent FQHC, with Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) designation through the National Committee on Quality Assurance. Jordan Health receives funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Jordan Health is a network of outpatient primary care offices with providers who follow a panel of patients. While independent, Jordan Health actively collaborates with the major hospital and healthcare systems in our operating area to provide a total safety net of healthcare services.

Salary Description

$115,600-$125,000/annually
