Job Overview: This position is responsible for all brand related work including design and implementation of strategic marketing and promotions plans and imaging across multiple platforms. The Creative Services Director is charged with developing and executing marketing, promotional and imaging programs directed to consumers to: increase viewership, enhance brand awareness and increase market share. The Creative Services Director will be actively hands on in production of on air and digital messages, including commercial advertisements and station promos.

Job Responsibilities: Plans, directs and controls entire consumer marketing, promotion and imaging functions for the station/stations. Protects brand identities and ensure consistent application of our brands across all platforms. Responsible for cross-organizational teams, developing marketing, promotion and imaging projects, tracking progress, identifying issues and developing solutions prior to deployment of messages. Ensures that marketing strategies, brand and advertising campaigns, promotions and web marketing campaigns address changing markets and competitive conditions. Evaluates consumer and trade research to understand target markets and their responses to specific marketing initiatives. Conceptualizes, ideates, creates and executes creative campaigns. Coordinate closely with News and Sales departments, including active commercial production schedule for direct local clients. Supervise the development and core design look and feel of the company's on-air, off-air and online presence. Provides leadership and direction to the Creative Services Department. Develop and oversee annual budgets for all operations of Creative Services. Point person for community engagement and community relations.

Qualification: Broadcast related degree or equivalent relevant work experience. 5+ years' experience in a supervisory role in creative services, brand management or marketing preferred. Proficient in all elements of production: photography, writing, lighting, and Adobe Premiere. Reel of personally produced messages available. Understanding of all disciplines of marketing, imaging and promotion development. Must have proven people skills, strong work ethic and desire to create and uphold brand voice for a media company that is creatively distinct and that reflects the appropriate brand attributes. Demonstrated success in creating directing a team through an effective ad campaign or broadcast season campaign. Strong visual storytelling abilities, highly creative and qualified writer with the ability to meet tight deadlines effectively. Proven leadership skills; ability to mentor other members of the creative services team. Skilled at evaluating new design techniques and systems as well as equipment and software. Attention to detail, the ability to succeed in a cross-functional team environment, and strong organizational skills are a must. Deep understanding of brand execution and how it's demonstrated at all consumer touchpoints. Must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.
