Description

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking an energetic full-time board-certified psychiatrist to join their multidisciplinary inpatient consultation/liaison team at Strong memorial Hospital.

The CL service at Strong Memorial Hospital consists of an interdisciplinary team of clinicians including several psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and a Social Worker. We offer both traditional as well as proactive CL services.

This full-time position includes both a medical staff appointment at Strong Hospital and an academic appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at a rank commensurate with experience and accomplishments, as well as, ample opportunities for faculty development given the department's robust tradition of mentorship. To be considered for this role, candidates should be board certified in general psychiatry as well as consultation psychiatry/psychosomatic medicine, have demonstrated leadership skills in prior positions and have a strong academic focus. This position may include teaching and clinical supervision of psychiatric residents and fellows, medical students and other trainees.

Applicants are required to hold a New York physician license prior to start. The onboarding process includes an on-site pre-employment Employee Health clearance appointment. The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and resonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined with the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
