Description SUMMARY :Coordinates and facilitates clinical research activities with the Rochester General Hospital Research Institute (RGHRI). Ensures research is done in accordance with RGHRI, RRH, IRB, sponsor and governmental regulations. Conducts research-related clinical procedures. Maintains physical and electronic records.STATUS: OpenLOCATION: Rochester General HospitalDEPARTMENT: Research InstituteSCHEDULE: DaysMinimum Qualifications:Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or equivalent 2-4 years of experience preferredStrong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skillsCurrent licensure in the State of New YorkValid NYS driver license as referenced in RRHS Fleet ProgramRESPONSIBILITIESCoordinate and work collaboratively with both research scientists and clinical site personnel (clinicalproviders and nurses) in patient subject recruitment, consenting, record maintenance and research sample acquisition and transportation.Ability to interact well with pediatric patients and patients' families.Ability to retrieve non-invasive research specimens (eg, nasal wash, phlebotomy) and assist physician or advanced practitioner in clinical research procedures (e.g., tympanocentesis in ambulatory setting).Ensures study data are collected accurately, and maintained in an orderly and easily retrievable manner.Able to quickly reconcile data and answer data queries.Comfort with both "paper charts" and electronic medical record (EPIC system).Coordination with both information technology staff and research staff in maintenance of databasesystems.Assist the Director and Assistant Director of the RGHRI in outreach activities to clinical sites, IRBapprovals, grant processes, and data reporting to sponsors, to funding institutions, and in manuscripts.Maintenance of appropriate job- and profession-specific certifications and credentialing.Travel between local research sites (urban and suburban Rochester).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.PAY RANGE: $23.75 - $29.75 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
