University of Rochester Child Care Coordinator II in Rochester, New York

Responsibilities

General Purpose:

The Children’s Center at the Hall of Justice (CCHOJ) is conducting a search for a full time Childcare Provider. The Childcare Provider is responsible for the direct supervision of infants, toddlers, and children at the CCHOJ. The childcare provider will create an engaging and safe environment for children. Daily responsibilities will include, preparing and implementing daily activities for children and maintaining records and reports for each child. This role is full-time for 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, engaging, and safe environment for children.

  • Help children learn through setting limits and instruction.

  • Maintain clean materials and childcare equipment.

  • Ensure that each child receives proper snacks and meals.

  • Recognize, document, and take appropriate action in the case of suspected abuse, illness, or accident.

  • Be willing to participate in professional trainings and performance reviews.

  • Other duties as requested by the Center Director.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (required)

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)

  • 2 more years specialized experience in a related field (preferred)

  • Comply with the NYS Child Care Provider and NY State OCFS regulations (required)

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.00 - $22.10 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
