Associate Professor

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Rochester is actively recruiting to fill one position of Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology. This position is a full-time, non-tenure accruing position. Clinical responsibilities are primarily patient care and clinical trial enrollment.

The Department of Radiation Oncology (DRO) at the URMC provides high quality and advanced cancer treatment technology to patients in the academic medical center and in regional community-based practices of the greater Rochester region of upstate New York. The Department oversees 8 radiation cancer treatment sites with approximately 3000 new radiation treatment cases each year. All 8 sites are accredited by American College of Radiology for quality and safety measures. The DRO is prominently noted for its Stereotactic Radiosurgery Programs; Late effects of normal tissue studies; and the Multi-disciplinary cancer treatment programs within the Wilmot Cancer Center. The Department has a long-standing history of clinical trial enrollment and is a full member with NRG Oncology/RTOG.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include an M.D. or equivalent with experience in Radiation Oncology. Candidates must be Board Certified in Radiology (or Board Eligible) and must have a NY State Medical License.

A post-offer health assessment and criminal background check are required.

Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
