Wegmans Associate Creative Manager - Design in Rochester, New York

Note : This position is located in Rochester, NY requires reporting to an office for part of the week, with some flexibility to work from home.

This role helps lead areas of businesses, ensuring all work is on brand, strategically sound, and up to our standards of creative excellence. They will drive and execute the development of high-quality creative solutions that achieve business goals and give our customers an omnichannel experience by partnering with creative leadership, copywriters, marketing planning, digital team members, and external vendors to bring their ideas to life across print, digital, social, and video tactics. They ensure all branded communication pieces and their creative execution align with company priorities.

What will I do?

  • Manage and develop team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successful

  • Provide creative expertise to create consistent, overall brand and campaign strategies to communicate our message in new and unique ways

  • Use a high level of creativity to execute against different styles including words, illustration, photography, and appropriate execution against video, digital, and social assets

  • Work with various Marketing teams to provide strategic support and produce materials that will effectively communicate key messages to our customers

  • Develop concepts and execute exceptional creative across all assigned lines of business

  • Provide art direction during photo and video shoots and make important decisions independently that impact success of deliverables and are financially responsible

  • Strong understanding of video production across different scale with proven experience managing post production, including supervising edits, animations, audio, and color correction

  • Manage and implement creative strategies that are integrated with our company goals and priorities; ensure assigned creative projects align with strategies and executed on time within a defined budget

Required Qualifications

  • 7 or more years of industry experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, Graphic Design, Journalism, or related field

  • Examples of creative executions that solved business challenges and drove results

  • A portfolio showcasing a broad range of creative and strategic thinking, including video, social, digital, and print

Preferred Qualifications

  • Video production experience

  • Experience managing a creative team

  • Experience running photoshoots, managing talent, and working within a deadline
