Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Rochester, New York

Description

Hannah Savage is in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join her client's team in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, handling collections, and reconciling accounts. You will also assist with customer service responsibilities as needed! The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker who can effectively manage deadlines and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable transactions, including issuing and recording invoices and payments.

  • Monitor customer accounts for timely payments and manage collection efforts as necessary.

  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare reports and statements to support financial audits and reporting requirements.

  • Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues or disputes professionally.

  • Collaborate with other departments to improve billing and collections processes.

  • Performing administrative responsibilities in the office

  • Assisting with Customer Service responsibilities

  • Executing other duties as assigned.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or similar

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures

• Knowledge and experience in billing processes

• Familiarity with cash applications

• Experience in cash collections and commercial collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
