Robert Half Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist I (Tier II) in Rochester, New York

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist I (Tier II) in ROCHESTER, New York. The role involves handling past due balances and providing high-quality service to clients within the industry. The workplace currently operates in a hybrid model, with the employee expected to work from home or in-office a few times per week.

Responsibilities:

• Mitigate risk by resolving clients' past due balances in a timely and accurate manner.

• Answer inbound calls to address and resolve past due balances, meeting daily collections and call goals.

• Initiate calls to clients based on risk to address outstanding receivables.

• Make decisions on releasing or holding at-risk accounts based on established policies and procedures to minimize risk.

• Conduct research on Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) transactions that have been returned from the bank to recollect the funds owed by the client.

• Evaluate high-risk accounts to determine if they need to be escalated to the internal collection agency.

• Escalate client issues to appropriate departments to ensure timely collection on the account.

• Maintain daily call requirements based on the provided forecast to meet standards.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) practices and procedures

• Extensive knowledge of Collection Processes

• Familiarity with Research Analysis methods

• Understanding of Quality Service principles and policies

• Ability to handle and manage Funds

• Expertise in Policy creation and implementation

• Experience with Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

• Ability to ensure Quality in all work processes

• Knowledge of Mitigation practices in collections

• Ability to adhere to company procedures and policies.
