Compensation Range:

$18.89 - $26.44

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Performs accounting and bookkeeping activities of a complex nature for a major college or division of the University. May coordinate activities of lower-classified clerical staff.Responsibilities Position Summary: Performs professional accounting work at a level requiring knowledge and application of general accounting theory, techniques and practices knowledge of the University general accounting systems. Assist the Senior Financial Analyst, and Program Administrator in running efficient and effective academic, research, and clinical programs Responsibilities: May perform a combination of the following: - General Accounting and Analysis- - - Analyze ED ledger accounts to determine accuracy of revenue and expense entries, use judgement as to whether account balances are reasonable, investigate timing differences or errors, working cross-functionally to correct, examine account documents to ascertain that transactions are properly supported in accordance with University policy and procedures; initiate corrective action or recommended solutions as appropriate. - - Develop monthly variance analysis across all divisions - - Prepare journal entries as needed - - Perform monthly grant expense tracking and monitor adherence to grant budgets on a monthly basis based on study protocols and sponsor guidelines, reconcile discrepancies - - - Manage reconcile and prepare monthly hours logs, extra compensation forms for all faculty, APP's and coordination of malpractice coverage - Provide administrative support and oversee database and NYS reporting for highly confidential Emergency Medicine Forensic program. Coordinate annual contract renewal for services provided to Planned parenthood/REACH, issue departmental invoices and reconcile payments - Manage regional and non-EMS professional service contracts, issue monthly invoices, track and reconcile hours to ensure contract requirements are met, reconcile payments, coordinate meetings and develop program material as needed - Contribute in the development of the annual budgets for all the departmental FAQs including but not limited to faculty practice, hospital operating, Urgent cares and chairs account. - Perform other related work as required Qualifications: AAS degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping plus 3-4 years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Advance skill level in Microsoft Excel and related office applications required CLASP certification preferred or plan to obtain within I year of employment
