Job Description:

Position Summary: Provides administrative support for Highland Family Medicine’s Residency Program and faculty. Performs advanced secretarial skills and provides ongoing administrative support to the Chief Residents and Residency Coordinator. Manages precepting schedules for the Residency Program. Provides backup support for Build Team.

Salary Range:

$21.00 - $27.00 an hour

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  1. Education – A.A.S. degree; or equivalent experience.

  2. Experience (minimum required) – Minimum 3 years of relevant administrative experience in an academic, business, or clinical setting. Expertise in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  3. License/Certification Required – None

  4. Skills: Ability to handle high-level of confidentiality and to display professionalism at all times. Requires the ability to tend to detail while in a busy atmosphere. This position necessitates good judgment, strong communication skills, assertive problem-solving, strong customer relations skills, ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks and the ability to adjust to changing priorities and challenges in a busy environment. Exhibits a high degree of self-motivation, excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, computer and follow-up skills.

Have or obtain a solid working knowledge of the following software:

  • MedHub software (a web-based evaluation, activity planning, financial monitor, calendar and duty hour monitoring program used throughout all GME training programs within the URMC and Medical School).

  • Amion Physician Attending software (a web-based scheduler for rotations, call and clinics).

  • QGenda (web-based scheduling software)

  • ERAS (a web-based electronic residency application system).

  • Thalamus GME (electronic interview scheduling software)
