Objectives of this role:

· Oversee daily operations of the site including production, safety and quality departments.

· Champion continuous improvement activities

· Ensure processes are in place to provide high quality products.

· Drive the organization to deliver products on time for our customers.

· Achieve product cost targets

Responsibilities

· Lead, motivate and support the operational staff in a fast-paced environment.

· Track and ensure operational metrics are achieved.

· Proactively act to achieve cost performance targets.

· Focus resources for quick problem resolution.

· Communicate results to upper management.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations management, or a related field

· Good working knowledge of manufacturing cost elements and proven ability to achieve cost targets.

· Prior management experience

· Excellent people skills

· Experience with quality management systems

Preferred skills and qualifications

· 5 years of prior experience as an operations manager in a manufacturing environment

· Prior Automotive industry experience as a tier 1 or 2 supplier
