Olmsted Medical Center Speech Language Pathologist in Rochester, Minnesota

Medical Insurance Generous PTO Package Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Basic Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Employer Paid Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Adoption Assistance Plan Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program Certified with Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) by ASHA, Clinical Fellow candidates also encouraged to apply Licensed or eligible for licensure with the state of Minnesota BLS certification within 90 days of hire Experience with dysphagia and neurological disorders preferred Experience with pediatrics preferred Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills Willingness to work with patients across the full age spectrum, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric Competencies: Demonstrates thorough knowledge of normal and pathologic anatomy and physiology. Exhibits high level of skill in differential diagnosis process and clinical decision making. Effectively utilizes EHR. Effectively assess outcomes, both functional and patient reported. Job Responsibilities: Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients. Performing screenings appropriate to speech disorders, swallowing, and cognition. Educating patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress. Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. Other duties as assigned.
