In this role, we seek a dynamic Senior Robotic Application Engineer to lead the development and implementation efforts while providing application and product support within the Product Applications Segment group. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and optimize processes that fall under the continuous process’s applications umbrella.

  • Welding, Cutting, Dispense, Additive, Material Removal and Force Control applications represent a portion of the continuous process applications.

  • Provide comprehensive support for new customer sales and application development, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

  • Collaborate with internal sales teams, distributors and customers to conduct process studies and create mockups and feasibility studies.

  • Program and debug robotic applications systems to ensure precision and efficiency.

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot applications.

  • Perform new product (hardware and software) testing.

  • Create strategic plans for trade shows targeting specific market segments.

  • Develop functional specifications for new value-added products that exceed competitor product specifications and offerings.

  • Assist in the product development process to ensure products align with functional specifications for the market.

  • Develop products and marketing material to help FANUC Robotics gain a competitive advantage.

  • Organize, schedule, and prepare presentations and demonstrations for customers and other key stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with the sales force and systems group to ensure the customer is provided with the appropriate automation solutions.

  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, video conference and email.

  • Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering their understanding of their work and supporting their career professionally.

  • Strategically identify and evaluate new market opportunities and develop innovative solutions to drive sales growth.

  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and other events within and outside the assigned territory, including some overnight stays as required (approximately 25%). The ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Welding Engineer or related field.

  • Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing or an industrial automation environment.

  • Extensive experience in designing, building, and operating robotic turnkey systems.

  • Strong understanding of machining, logic controllers, and automation systems.

  • Proven experience with continuous process robotic application.

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling tools for mechanical design, including CAD and SOLIDWORKS.

  • Extensive experience with FANUC robotics or competitive robotic programming.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to drive throughout the organization’s service area as needed for business purposes.

  • Generate and maintain technical computer-based reports and documentation.

  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings for system setup and integration.

  • Proficient in functional-level robotic programming.

  • Advanced expertise in mechanical and electrical design. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field of study.
