Aerotek Machine Operator in Robesonia, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machine operator to efficiently manage and execute various tasks associated with the manufacturing of our products. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating different types of equipment and tools, ensuring the accuracy of mixes, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mix station equipment, lift trucks, and hand tools to assemble and create raw material mixtures following mix instructions to ensure 100% accuracy.

  • Operate thermite melt line equipment, electric furnaces, hydride and dehydride vessels to react, melt, and/or sinter raw material mixtures.

  • Use sizing and crushing equipment, along with hand tools, to clean, crush, mill, screen, and inspect (using white light, UV light, and automated x-ray) work in process to create finished products.

  • Operate leaching equipment to remove metallic or other contaminants added during production phases.

  • Use lift trucks, backhoes, pallet jacks, drum dumpers, cart caddies, and other manual and powered mobile equipment as required.

  • Complete and maintain all records and documents to support work area operations.

  • Clean and reassemble work area and equipment when changing production to prevent cross-contamination of products, ensuring thorough inspection by a Crew Leader or Supervisor.

  • Monitor the condition and operation of work area lift trucks, lifting devices, manufacturing equipment, building, and hand tools. Perform daily maintenance and properly store all hand tools and equipment. Notify a Crew Lead for repairs or additional maintenance needs and to suggest changes and upgrades to work area equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in machine operation

  • Experience in operating various equipment

  • Background in heavy manufacturing

  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

  • Comfortable working in warmer environments

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to follow defined Work Station Procedures to manufacture, inspect, package, and ship master alloys, metal powders, sintered materials, induction melted products, and other similar materials.

  • Observes all applicable safety practices and procedures.

  • Operate in compliance with the Company Quality System.

  • Maintain all documents, records, and files to support manufacturing activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Robesonia, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
