Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our team at a General Motors facility in Roanoke, Indiana . In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all non-production line equipment in a massive 5,000,000 square foot facility. You will receive work orders from your supervisor throughout the day and complete them efficiently using an industrial golf cart for transportation within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.

  • Service and respond to issues with electrical systems.

  • Connect wires to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment.

  • Replace switches, fuses, and other electrical components.

Essential Skills

  • 8+ years of Industrial Electrician Experience OR Journeyman's Card- MUST HAVE

  • Electrical Troubleshooting Experience

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics

  • Self-motivated

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Facility Maintenance Experience

Work Environment

This is a union facility with the following available shifts: 2:30pm - 11:00pm (Tuesday - Saturday) and 10:30pm - 7:00am (Tuesday - Saturday). You will be working in a large, industrial environment, utilizing an industrial golf cart for transportation. Pay is $36.29 per hour with additional premiums for 2nd shift (.25) and 3rd shift (.40).
