Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

Work in various assembly areas including Coiling, Foam Encasement, Assembly, Gluing, Sewing, Borders, Quilting, Closing, and Packing. Utilize pneumatic tools to assemble mattresses as per established instructions, inspect components and finished units for defects, and assist in different production areas such as box spring assembly, mattress assembly, quilting, and machine loading.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mattresses using pneumatic tools such as c-ring hog-ring guns, staple guns, and hot glue guns.

• Operate the Hot Melt Bond (HMB) machine for assembling HMB units.

• Apply specified upholstered layers to HMB and open coil units.

• Assemble foam-encased pocketed coil units and apply specified upholstery layers.

• Perform final mattress assembly and foam encasing.

• Inspect mattress components and finished units for flaws or structural defects.

• Participate in box spring assembly using hand tools and perform heavy lifting.

• Assist in mattress assembly, requiring manual work with less use of tools and minimal heavy lifting.

• Work in the quilting area, involving sewing, cutting, and measuring materials.

• Load materials and prep quilting machines for production, involving heavier lifting.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience with hand tools and general assembly.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred.

• Experience with hand tools and nail guns preferred.

• Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations.

Work Environment

Work in an air-conditioned environment with shifts from 5 am to 2 pm. Be available to work up to 12-hour shifts and flexible to work on Saturdays, especially during high season. The role involves physical demands typical of a manufacturing environment, such as prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and moving materials. The workplace is a fast-paced manufacturing plant with exposure to high noise levels, hot raw materials, fire-retardant materials, and limited chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment is required and provided by the company.

This is a Contract position based out of Riviera Beach, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
